A simple and effective schooling tool, the Shires Elastic Training Reins use gentle poll pressure to encourage the horse to adopt a correct head carriage and work in a rounder outline. The elastic construction provides a soft, forgiving feel rather than a fixed restriction, making it a sympathetic choice for horses in early training or those being re-schooled.

How It Works

The elastic passes through the bit rings and clips to either the saddle D-rings or the girth. When the horse raises its head above the desired position, light pressure is applied at the poll, encouraging the head to lower. As the horse softens into the contact, the pressure releases.
